By Sunday at 14:30, 584 incidents related to the storm had been registered in Riga. Most of them — 347 cases — were related to fallen trees and branches. The State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) received 1,131 calls in Riga, of which 431 had been completed by 14:30. Services continue to operate in an enhanced mode, and the cleanup from the storm will take some time. First and foremost, threats to human safety are being eliminated and roadways are being cleared, while other calls are being addressed in order of priority. Ratnieks urged Riga residents to work remotely on Monday if possible, to avoid hindering the services in their ongoing cleanup efforts. Currently, power outages in Riga affect about 2,200 households. In Vecaki, where both electricity and telephone services were previously disrupted, they have already been restored. The municipality urges residents not to visit parks and cemeteries and to stay away from large trees. During the storm, at least 200 trees fell or were damaged in Riga's cemeteries. However, previously scheduled funeral ceremonies will still take place. Residents are also advised not to swim for the time being, as the storm may have deteriorated water quality in swimming areas.
