Chinese specialists are conducting aerial surveillance and assessing the possibility of creating a channel for controlled water diversion. At the same time, authorities are warning of the risk of new floods, landslides, and avalanches in the region. A catastrophic flood occurred after a glacier collapse in the Himalayas, affecting areas of China and Nepal. As a result of the natural disaster, hundreds of people have died, and more than 1,500 are reported missing.
