At the same time, the ministry currently has no information about Latvian citizens who have been rescued directly from the disaster zone. The Nepal Tourism Department has updated the list of missing persons. It now includes all 33 Latvian citizens, whose disappearance was reported to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by their relatives. There was an error in the data of one individual, which was communicated to the honorary consul of Latvia in Nepal. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that on August 29, the Latvian embassy in China received information about another traveler from Latvia who is safe. He was traveling as part of a group of 80 people representing 19 countries. Thus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs currently has information about three Latvian citizens who were in Nepal and were not harmed as a result of the natural disaster. Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS), in turn, wrote on social media that there is still hope of finding the missing people alive, as reported by Bb.lv.
