In September 2023, the man discovered a used toothbrush there, which raised his suspicions. After checking the surveillance camera footage, he saw a stranger dropping his wife off at their home. At that point, the husband decided to continue his investigation with the help of a rather unusual device — a robot vacuum cleaner. ### The Vacuum Cleaner Became a Witness to Infidelity The man remotely connected to the robot vacuum through his smartphone. Initially, he claimed he intended to use the device's microphone to talk to his wife. However, the built-in camera showed much more than he expected: his wife was in the house with another man. The husband saved the recording. In the video, his wife was changing clothes, hugging her lover, and appearing naked while he was on the couch. The footage was used by the man in court as evidence of marital infidelity. As a result, he managed to obtain about 50,000 Taiwanese dollars from his wife and her partner as compensation. ### But the Wife Filed a Counterclaim The legal saga did not end there. The woman filed a lawsuit against her own husband, accusing him of illegally recording intimate footage and displaying it without her consent. The court found the man guilty of invasion of privacy. Ultimately, he was sentenced to five months in prison and fined 150,000 Taiwanese dollars. Thus, the attempt to expose infidelity using "smart" household technology resulted in much more serious consequences for the man: the robot vacuum did indeed help him obtain evidence, but the method by which it was obtained ultimately led him to the defendant's stand.
