Participants covered a five-kilometer distance, passing through special color zones where they were showered with colorful powders. Many started the race in white clothing, which transformed into a rainbow of colors just a few minutes after the start of the run.   Separate distances were organized for children. The main principle of the Jūrmala Colour Run remains not the competition for seconds and sports records, but the opportunity to walk or run the distance for enjoyment. In 2026, the colorful run in Jūrmala took place for the **11th time**. It was initially planned for August 23, but due to extreme weather conditions, the event was postponed to August 30.
