All real estate objects are located in the Kraslava and Augšdaugava regions. The area of each plot does not exceed half a hectare. The government has decided to expropriate parts of land plots owned by private owners, located at the external border of Latvia with Belarus. This is necessary to ensure effective control and protection of the state border. On the expropriated territories, it is planned to equip a border strip, a patrol strip, and an observation zone for border markers. In addition, informational signs and other infrastructure necessary for the protection of the country's external border will be installed there.
