Defense Minister Raivis Melniks announced this evening on Latvian TV that by the end of 2027, the Baltic Defense Line will be constructed along open sections of Latvia's eastern border, spanning 100 kilometers. As for drone protection, anti-drone systems and radars will be installed near the entire eastern border by the end of this month, allowing for timely detection of incoming drones and their interception. If any drone manages to pass through the detection and interception systems, NATO fighters will be deployed to shoot it down. Currently, anti-drone systems are installed only in one area.
