The pro-Russian group Global Citizens Against War 1984 (GCAW1984) has released a statement targeting companies in Latvia, Poland, and Portugal involved in the production and supply of arms to Ukraine. The published appeal claims that the demands are directed at the Latvian companies Eraser and Unitrack, the Polish companies PGZ, WB Electronics, JFG Composites, and Nitro-Chem, as well as the Portuguese Tekever. The group stated that the companies must cease arms supplies to Ukraine by October 7. Otherwise, it threatens to halt their operations "by any means necessary." A similar one-month deadline has also been given in an ultimatum form to the governments of the three countries. As confirmation of their intentions, the authors of the statement circulated photographs of graffiti featuring the abbreviation GCAW1984, which they claim were sprayed in Riga, Warsaw, and Lisbon. Currently, there is no information indicating that the threats have been accompanied by any actual attacks on the mentioned companies. However, the emergence of such statements suggests that the companies may become the subject of increased scrutiny from law enforcement agencies. Previously, GCAW1984 had already claimed responsibility for acts of sabotage in Europe. In particular, in August, the group took responsibility for an attempted arson at the facility of the Slovak division of the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyeton. So far, the authorities of Latvia, Poland, and Portugal have not publicly reported any additional security measures or an official assessment of the new threats. It should be noted that Eraser is a Latvian company based in Marupe, specializing in the development and production of military unmanned aerial vehicles, while Unitrack from the city of Cesis is involved in the defense sector, developing prototypes of all-terrain vehicles.
