As part of the waste management campaign by AS **AJ Power Recycling** "Give Tires a Second Life" (Dod riepām otru dzīvi), over 210 companies have transferred 255.3 tons, or more than 25,500 worn-out tires for recycling in four weeks, the company reported. The organizers of the campaign will continue to accept old tires in September. From September 14 to 25, legal entities will be able to dispose of worn-out passenger car tires for free at the SIA 3R waste management complex on Atlas Street in Riga. To do this, it is necessary to fill out an electronic application in advance and book a disposal time on the 3R website. ### Up to 500 Tires from One Company Only tires from passenger vehicles are accepted as part of the campaign. One legal entity can dispose of up to 500 tires for free. Tires from trucks, tractors, and industrial equipment are not accepted for free. The tires must be clean and without rims. They should not contain leaves, dirt, soil, or plastic waste. ### Individuals Can Dispose of Four Tires for Free Private individuals can also dispose of old passenger car tires for free. During the campaign, up to four tires without rims can be accepted from one vehicle. Tires from trucks, tractors, and industrial equipment are not accepted. Private individuals can bring tires without prior registration, on a first-come, first-served basis, on any working day from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to the 3R waste management complex on Atlas Street in Riga. Outside the campaign period, passenger car tires can be disposed of at sorted waste reception sites and other tire collection points for a fee. ### About the Company According to Firmas.lv, in 2025, the turnover of AJ Power Recycling amounted to 8.154 million euros, which is 58.5% more than in 2024. At the same time, the company's profit decreased by 39.5% to 252,856 euros. The company was registered in 2018, and its share capital is 280,000 euros. The largest owner of AJ Power Recycling is SIA AJ Power Holding, which owns 70% of the company's capital. In the capital of AJ Power Holding, 34% belongs to SIA Lādētājs, the sole owner of which is Jānis Lielcepure; 26% belongs to SIA AHF, the sole owner of which is Anete Freiberg-Samtine; another 25% of shares are directly owned by Freiberg-Samtine, and 15% by SIA Elemento Apex, whose owners are Lielcepure and Roberts Samtiņš. Another 15% of the capital of AJ Power Recycling belongs to SIA Dynamic, whose owners are Solveiga Grīsle (51%) and Mārtiņš Tīvcis (49%), and SIA K.I., the sole owner of which is Ivo Salmiņš.
