No significant changes in the weather in Latvia are expected in the coming week. According to meteorologists' forecasts, the country will still be periodically covered by rain, and the air temperature will remain at the level typical for the last few days. On Saturday, variable cloudiness is expected, with brief rains in some areas. By Sunday and Monday, there will be more clouds, and precipitation will be observed more frequently. The air temperature at night will range from +8 to +16 degrees, although in some areas it may drop to +6 degrees on the night of Saturday. During the day, the air will warm up to +15…+20 degrees. The wind in the coming days will remain mostly weak, so no serious deterioration in the weather is expected even during the rains. In the second half of the week, the weather will change little. The sky will often be cloudy, and precipitation is forecasted in many regions of the country. The strongest rains are expected by meteorologists in Kurzeme and western Vidzeme. The wind will maintain a southern and southwestern direction, remaining weak or moderate. For most residents, this means that cool but relatively mild autumn weather will last at least until the end of next week. A sharp drop in temperature or the first frosts are not currently forecasted. According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, over the next four weeks, the air temperature in Latvia will generally remain slightly above the climatic norm. At the same time, September is expected to be rainier than usual, while October may turn out to be noticeably drier.
