The trainer's nephew, Alexey Tarasov, confirmed the repeated hospitalization. In early September, Tarasova underwent a scheduled examination. On September 7, her nephew reported that she had completed it and returned home. In the spring of 2026, Tarasova was already admitted to intensive care. At that time, the Russian Figure Skating Federation reported that the cause was a severe cold. On April 20, the coach was discharged from the hospital. Tarasova is one of the most famous figures in the history of figure skating. Among her students are Olympic champions Alexey Yagudin, Irina Rodnina, and Alexander Zaitsev, Natalia Bestemianova and Andrei Bukin, Oksana Grishchuk and Evgeni Platov. In 2008, she was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
