On Sunday, the weather in Latvia will remain changeable. Throughout the day, rain clouds will pass over the territory of the country, and thunderstorms and heavy downpours are possible in some regions. In the morning, the sky will be mostly overcast, but by midday, there will be some clearings in the western and central regions, and the sun will shine. At the same time, the wind will strengthen. It will change direction to the southwest and west, with gusts in many areas reaching 15–17 meters per second. On the western coast of Kurzeme, gusts are expected to reach up to 20 meters per second by midday. Residents of coastal areas and motorists should take into account the strengthening wind, especially when driving on open sections of roads. Short-term downpours may also reduce visibility. The air temperature during the day will range from +13 to +18 degrees. In Riga, rain will also occur at times. During clearings, the air will warm up to +16...+17 degrees. The southern and southwestern wind will become gusty in the afternoon. Thus, the most comfortable time for walks may be the period between rains, but when leaving home, forecasters recommend carrying an umbrella and considering the likelihood of strong winds.
