Thus, the team finished the championship in fourth place, just one step away from the podium. For Latvia, medals at the U-23 World Championships in 3x3 basketball remain a rarity. Before this tournament, Latvian teams had only once reached the podium — in 2018, the men's team became the silver medalist of the first world championship in this age category. Meanwhile, the Latvia men's team continues to fight for the title. At 15:55, they are set to play in the World Championship final against the Lithuanian team. In this tournament, there were 20 teams among men and women, divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group advanced to the playoffs.
