One of the main events of the day will be a fair: 49 artisans and 35 local food producers will offer their products. Guests will have the opportunity to cook a soup from the autumn harvest with the hostess of Priedes krogs, Ilze Briede. At the farmer's yard in Kurzeme, children and adults will be greeted by goats, sheep, a calf, and poultry. In the Meršrags forge, blacksmith Arturs Purviņš will showcase his skills. A family performance titled "Who Will Protect the Bunny?" will take place near the Vidzeme farmer's yard. Autumn rituals will be conducted by Julgi Stalte along with the folklore group Skandinieki. Music and dance will be presented by the Latvian University folklore dance group Dandari and the Grodi group. The Jūrmala folklore group Mare and the children's group Spruksti from the Riga primary school named after Fricis Brivzemnieks will sing old popular songs and invite guests to participate in folk games. From 10:00 to 16:00, creative workshops titled "What’s Hiding in the Pantry?" and "Clay Tricks" will be held for children at the Vidzeme farmer's yard. Ceramist Martiņš Kabuciš will conduct the clay sessions. Visitors can also check out the museum's exhibition hall, where the exhibition "Colors and Rhythms of the Suiti" is currently taking place. At the Bekeri farm in the fishing village of Kurzeme, the exhibition "Corners and Roofs" will introduce visitors to ancient wooden building techniques. Mikelis Day in Latvian tradition is associated with the completion of major agricultural work and the onset of autumn, so a significant part of today's program is dedicated to the harvest, crafts, folk customs, and seasonal cuisine.
