The last polling stations in North America closed on Sunday morning according to Latvian time. A total of 16 polling stations operated in the USA on Saturday, and six in Canada. In the USA, 1,357 Latvian citizens participated in the voting, while in Canada, 578. The 'Progressives' received the most support in both countries: in the USA, 28.4% of voters cast their ballots for the party, while in Canada, it was 37%. 'New Unity' received votes from 25.4% of voters in the USA and 21.6% in Canada. The 'United List' was supported by 23.7% and 20.2% of voters, respectively. The National Alliance received 8.2% of the votes in the USA and 6.9% in Canada. Other political forces in both countries were unable to surpass the 5% threshold of votes.
