Uzulnieks ran in Zemgale from the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) as the first candidate. According to updated data from the Central Election Commission (CEC) on the morning of October 4, he received 975 'pluses', while his name was crossed out 910 times on ballots. Thus, voters' attitudes towards the politician turned out to be quite ambiguous. After accounting for personal marks, Uzulnieks ranked fifth among ZZS candidates in Zemgale. The highest final result within the list so far belongs to Ivars Gorskis. The ZZS itself received 6,638 votes in Zemgale, or 6.11%. However, the party's result in a single electoral district does not mean overcoming the nationwide five percent barrier necessary to gain seats in the Saeima. Overall, the turnout in the Zemgale electoral district was 54.48%: out of 199,469 eligible voters, 108,676 participated in the elections. Thirteen parliamentary mandates are distributed in Zemgale. A total of 207 candidates from 14 lists were registered in the district. The counting and processing of results are ongoing, so the data on 'pluses', crossings out, and final positions of candidates may still change.
