Border guards captured a bear standing on its hind legs at a border post and, judging by the photo, checking its strength. After this peculiar "test," the bear safely descended and disappeared into the forest.  _Photo: Bieszczadzki Oddział Straży Graniczne._ Bieszczady is one of the main habitats of the brown bear in Poland, so encounters with these animals are not exceptional here. Brown bears are protected, and experts strongly recommend not approaching them even for impressive photographs or videos. When encountering a bear, one should not attempt to feed it, attract its attention, or get closer. It is better to remain calm, avoid sudden movements, and gradually increase the distance between oneself and the animal. This time, the encounter ended without incident: the only casualty could have been a road sign.
