In one district of Riga, the number of apartments for sale increased by 23%, while in another it collapsed by 35%

According to the LETA agency, citing the latest market review of series apartments by Arco Real Estate, in August 2026, the number of apartment sale listings in Riga decreased by 1% compared to July. In the largest micro-districts of the capital, the reduction was more noticeable — by 4%. When comparing the situation to August of last year, the changes are even more significant. Overall, in Riga, the number of apartments put up for sale decreased by 8%, while in the largest micro-districts, it decreased by 18%. **Where are the most apartments for sale in Riga?** According to Arco Real Estate, in August, the highest number of listings was still registered in Agenskalns — 155 apartments. At the opposite end of the list was Bolderaja, where only 24 apartments were offered for sale. At the same time, the situation in different micro-districts developed unevenly. The most noticeable increase in the number of listings in August was recorded in Zolitūde — by 23% compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, Ilguciems saw the sharpest decline — by as much as 35%. **Where is the housing selection the most limited?** Arco Real Estate specialists also analyzed the number of listings taking into account the population of each micro-district. It turned out that Agenskalns leads in this indicator as well, where the most apartments are for sale relative to the number of residents. The smallest offering per capita was noted in Ilguciems. Thus, despite a slight overall reduction in listings in August, the situation in the Riga real estate market varies significantly depending on the district. The changes are particularly noticeable in Ilguciems, where the selection of apartments decreased by more than a third in a month.
