The story of the brawl between the hedgehog and the weasel has made headlines not only in Latvia but also beyond its borders. Locals have received calls from friends and relatives in various countries around the world and acknowledge that now is the right time to work on raising the town’s profile.
“We were told that people have even called from America, because a US radio station broadcast this news,” said Kristīne Pastore, a representative of the Dienvidkurzeme District Council.
