Summer Returns: Europe to Heat Up to +33°C in Mid-October

The heat will engulf the south and southeast of Portugal, as well as the central and southwestern regions of Spain. In some places, the temperature in the shade at a height of two meters will reach +30 to +33 degrees. It may be even hotter in the sun and in urban areas. The upcoming heat wave will be provided by an area of high atmospheric pressure. Under its influence, summer weather will linger in the south and southwest of Europe, despite it being mid-autumn. It is expected that in some areas, the readings may exceed the climatic norm by 6-13 degrees. Recently, the Spanish cities of Murcia and Xativa recorded +30.3°C and +30.1°C, respectively. Thus, the south of Portugal and Spain will become one of the hottest regions in Europe in the coming days. Here, one can still enjoy almost summer weather and spend a vacation without the usual seasonal crowds of tourists.
