“Men typically require more units of Botox or any other neurotoxin because they have a larger treatment area and stronger forehead muscles,” said Erika Shane, senior vice president of aesthetic medicine at the analytics firm Guidepoint Qsight. According to a report by Guidepoint Qsight, which specializes in collecting data on the aesthetic medicine market, in the third quarter of 2026, men in the U.S. spent an average of $529 per visit on Botox — the highest figure in the past five years. Women’s average spending on the procedure was $455. The report does not specify which areas men were injecting. In 2022, they paid 19.6% more for injections than women. In subsequent years, the gap narrowed, but recently it has started to widen again. According to Shane, both men and women seek injections approximately every four months. Meanwhile, men are increasingly interested in aesthetic medicine: in addition to Botox, they are getting hair transplants and body contouring procedures. The WSJ notes that representatives of Generation X and millennials are the most frequent users of such procedures.
