Another pedestrian-train collision in Latvia

Passenger train operator Vivi said that in Salaspils, for unknown reasons, a person had decided to cross a level crossing which was closed and equipped with warning signals. The person was struck by a train travelling on the Lielvārde–Riga route. The State Police (VP) and the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD) were called to the scene.
