According to him, the Israeli side has already taken specific measures on the ground to prevent the expansion of Turkish military presence in Syria. As reported by C14 News, Ankara allegedly planned to strengthen its positions by moving from northern Syria to one of the local air bases, but these plans were thwarted by Israel's actions. The head of the Israeli government noted that he hopes to avoid direct military confrontation with Turkey and is making certain efforts to achieve this. At the same time, he acknowledged the existence of disagreements with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Turkish leadership. According to the Prime Minister, the relationship between Washington and Ankara remains a subject of discussion among allies. Earlier, Netanyahu announced a new security doctrine for Israel. The mentioned document suggests a shift from classic deterrence to active threat prevention, the development of initiative, and readiness for preventive measures. Although Turkey's name itself does not appear directly in the text of the doctrine, the steps being taken in Syria fully align with the new strategy for protecting national interests.
