Hundreds of rabbits and rare birds: an unusual exhibition with the opportunity to purchase animals will take place in Madona

The exhibition will feature hundreds of representatives of various breeds of chickens, other domestic birds, and rabbits. Among them will be rare varieties that are almost impossible to find in ordinary households. Breeders from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will participate in the event. Visitors will have the opportunity to communicate with them, learn about the specifics of animal care, their breeding and selection, as well as receive practical advice from specialists. The exhibition is aimed not only at professionals but also at the general public. The organizers invite families with children, nature lovers, and anyone interested in domestic animals. A special place in the program will be occupied by the professional evaluation of the presented breeds. Judges from Slovakia, France, and Croatia will determine the best participants according to European standards. The expert evaluation of the animals will take place on October 23 without the presence of the public. The names of the winners will be announced on October 24 after the official opening of the exhibition, which is scheduled for 10:00. According to the chairman of the board of the Latvian Association of Purebred Poultry Breeders, Didzis Dreimanis, such events help preserve breed diversity and introduce society to the efforts of those engaged in breeding. The organizers note that the first exhibition, held last year, generated great interest among visitors. Therefore, this year it was decided to hold the event again, expanding opportunities for communication between breeders and buyers. In addition to the main exhibition, there will be a separate trading area. Here, those interested will be able to purchase purebred chickens, other domestic birds, rabbits, as well as birds kept in captivity. Additionally, guests will be offered products from Latvian farms, homemade treats, crafts, and other goods from local producers. The exhibition will take place at the Madona Sports Center located at: Gaujā Street, 13. Opening hours: - October 24, Saturday, — from 8:00 to 17:00. - October 25, Sunday, — from 9:00 to 14:00.
