FICIL wants bolder decisions from Latvian government

Foreign direct investment in Latvia is on the rise. According to data from the Bank of Latvia, foreign direct investment in the second quarter stood at 95 million euros, or 0.8 per cent of gross domestic product. This is more than a year ago, yet this figure is still considered relatively modest. The majority of investment was in professional services and the manufacturing sector, whilst the largest investors were from Sweden and Switzerland.
