Two flags pulled down from Rīga bridge within two weeks

Two weeks ago, police officers removed the flag of the former Islamic Republic of Afghanistan from the cables of the Vanšu Bridge.

The municipal police have initiated administrative proceedings regarding the incident on the grounds of a breach of public order, for which a warning or a fine of up to 500 euros may be imposed on a natural person, and up to 5,000 euros on a legal entity.
