It has been reported that the case referred to by Sikorski concerns the article "Karol Nawrocki and the Secrets of the 'Grand Hotel'", published by the Onet portal in May 2025. Its authors described the testimonies of individuals claiming that Nawrocki, while working as a security guard at the Grand Hotel in Sopot, allegedly organized prostitution services for the guests of the establishment. The head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, responded to the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. "How should one put it: boor, simpleton, or primitive?" he wrote. Radislav Vogel, a deputy from the opposition party Law and Justice, also joined the exchange of opinions. "Is the minister solving a crossword puzzle or thinking about changing his career path?" he commented. Karol Nawrocki rejected the accusations outlined in the publication and filed a lawsuit against the publisher Onet – the company Ringier Axel Springer Polska. The president believes that the article violated his personal rights and demands an apology to be published in the lawsuit. On October 27, the public was able to learn about the details of the court hearing at the District Court of Warsaw for the first time. The portal's lawyers requested the declassification of the case. One of the witnesses in the case was Natasha Geldon, who worked in the security service of the Grand Hotel alongside Karol Nawrocki. The woman described a situation that she claimed she observed while on duty at the reception. "I noticed that Karol entered the hotel with a woman and a man. This was unusual, as we, as security, did not escort guests into the hotel," she testified. As she recounted, all three were talking to each other and then took the elevator to the floors designated for hotel guests. "They were walking together, talking among themselves. The situation was quite relaxed. Then they took the elevator to the floors designated for hotel guests," the witness said. She also emphasized that it was not the duty of security staff to accompany guests to the elevator, "let alone go up with them." Geldon testified that later she asked Nawrocki about what she had seen. According to her, she heard that money could be made by bringing in girls. The woman explained that this conversation reinforced her belief that she had witnessed illegal activity. "I was a young girl then, I was 19 years old. So when I saw this woman and man with Karol, I got the impression that this was a pimp with a prostitute. The subsequent conversation with Karol further convinced me of this," she said in court. ## ## What preceded: Even before the 2025 elections, then-President Andrzej Duda supported the candidate for his post from the right-wing opposition, Karol Nawrocki, who, according to media reports, was involved in providing sex worker services to clients at the hotel where he previously worked. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radislav Sikorski, believes that the name Ramses for the Polish president's horse may indicate the pharaonic ambitions of Karol Nawrocki and advised the head of the Polish state to be more modest.
