Amendments that are set to come into effect in 2027 expand the possibilities for filling out the agreed notification and allow the State Police to assess the circumstances of an accident remotely. If a traffic accident does not pose a significant threat to traffic and public safety, drivers, after receiving instructions from the police, will be able to fill out the agreed notification without waiting for a police crew. The agreed notification can also be filled out when more than two vehicles are involved in the accident, provided the State Police has not given other instructions. In certain cases, for example, if third-party property is damaged, road infrastructure is affected, or a parked vehicle is involved whose driver is absent, the driver will be able to independently report the incident after contacting the police and receiving instructions from them. It has also been clarified when to report a traffic accident to the State Police. Currently, this must be done when people are injured, third-party property is damaged, more than two vehicles are involved in the accident, or drivers cannot agree on the circumstances of the incident. In the future, reporting will also be required in cases where a wild animal is injured, road infrastructure is damaged, or there are suspicions that one of the drivers involved in the accident is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances. The police must also be informed if the involved vehicle has sustained damage that prevents it from participating in traffic, or if a vehicle whose driver is absent at the scene has been damaged. The changes also clarify that individuals authorized to operate vehicles in categories TR2, C1E, D1E, C, CE, D, and DE may operate an agricultural tractor with a trailer, interchangeable trailer equipment, or an aggregate. Furthermore, in the future, an electronic one-day permit issued in the State Information System for Tractor Equipment and its Drivers will also serve as confirmation of permission to participate in traffic, allowing access to the location for technical inspection.
