The Līgatne Nature Trails, located in the Gauja National Park, will temporarily change their operating hours. According to the LETA agency, citing communication specialist Baiba Ralle from the Nature Conservation Agency, from Monday, November 2, to Friday, November 13, visiting the trails on weekdays will not be possible. The restrictions are related to cosmetic repairs being conducted at the information center. ### When Can You Visit the Trails? Despite the temporary closure, the nature trails will be available to visitors this coming weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, they will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, previously scheduled nature studies for schoolchildren will take place even during the repair period. The information center will continue to serve visitors remotely. ### Over Half a Century of Familiarity with Latvia's Nature The Līgatne Nature Trails were established in 1975 in an area with numerous wooded ravines. Their main goal is to introduce visitors to the wild animals living in Latvia, showcase the diversity of local nature, and explain the importance of its conservation. In addition to walking and observing animals, educational events are held here, focusing on local fauna, animal behavior, and their role in the ecosystem.
