After the publication of a video showing a man grabbing a deer by its antlers and hitting it, the authors of the popular page [TATRY on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/tatryofficial?utm_source=chatgpt.com) received three more videos. All of them were taken within a week and show how tourists attempt to interact with the same animal. In the footage, tourists approach the deer, offer it food, and try to pet it. Judging by the animal's behavior, the presence of people no longer causes it the same wariness. However, specialists warn: this is where the main danger lies. ## Used to people, but not domesticated Due to constant feeding, the deer gradually loses its natural fear of humans. It begins to approach tourists on its own, expecting another treat. But the animal's outward calm is deceptive. Even a deer accustomed to people remains a large and strong wild animal, the behavior of which cannot be fully predicted. Attempts to pet it, touch its head, or grab its antlers can provoke an unexpected aggressive reaction. Such behavior is especially dangerous during periods of heightened animal activity. ## Man grabbed the deer by its antlers and hit it Recall that on October 31, videos circulated on social media showing incidents on the popular tourist road to Lake Morskie Oko. In one of them, a man grabbed a deer by its antlers and then hit the animal. The footage outraged social media users. Many demanded that the man's identity be established and that he be held accountable. However, subsequent videos showed that the problem is not limited to a single incident. Tourists continue to approach the wild animal and treat it as if it is part of the entertainment along the tourist route. ## The national park warns of danger Tatra National Park has repeatedly urged visitors not to feed wild animals, not to attempt to pet them, and to maintain a safe distance. Feeding disrupts the natural behavior of the animals, causing them to seek food near people instead of in their natural habitat. As a result, animals may increasingly approach tourist trails and roads, where the risk of dangerous encounters rises. Specialists remind us: even if a deer stands calmly next to a person and allows them to approach, it does not mean that it can be touched. The story on the road to Morskie Oko serves as another reminder that attempting to create a beautiful video or an unusual selfie with a wild animal can end dangerously — for both the tourist and the animal itself.
