With the beginning of the work of the newly elected Saeima, the government led by Kulbergs officially resigned. However, according to the law, it will continue to function until the parliament approves a new cabinet of ministers, ensuring the continuity of state functions and the succession of ongoing work. The new government with the former Prime Minister Kulbergs is expected by mid-November. The chances of Braže retaining her position as Minister of Foreign Affairs are extremely low. Thus, she will return to the Saeima, where she will receive a deputy salary. By the way, in 2026, a member of the Saeima of Latvia receives 4,330 euros per month before taxes. As a result of the elections to the 15th Saeima, the "United List" received 41 seats in parliament, the "Latvia First" party received 17, the coalition of the "Sovereign Power / Union of Young Latvians" received 15, the National Alliance received ten, the "Progressives" received ten, and "New Unity" received seven mandates.
