The First Snow Fell in Latvia

Last year, the first snow fell on October 12 in the Balvi region, and the first snow cover was formed on November 14 and 15. In 2024, the first snow fell on the evening of November 1 and November 2, while in 2023, it was already on October 8. As reported, a cold snap is expected in Latvia next week, with air temperatures occasionally dropping below zero, forecasters predict.
